Village Yoga Classes

Flow

This style of yoga is known for its coordination of movement and breath (vinyasa), stemming from the warm-up salutation sequences. Flow flushes the body of stagnation and allows for a release of tension by actively toning, stretching, and lengthening your muscles so you feel invigorated, strong, and more at ease.  We offer Flow, Slow Flow, and Warm Flow classes.

Yin

Join our Yin yoga classes to unwind and de-stress your body through long-held stretches. The poses assist the body in releasing all the way in the deep tissue layers of the body's fascia network, leaving the practitioner to feel like they just experienced a deep tissue massage.

Specialty Yoga

We offer a variety of specialty classes with unique focus areas to allow our instructors to share their unique skills and passions.  These include Kundinyasana (a combination of Flow and Kundalini), Well Rounded Yoga (Hatha-inspired active movement, stretch and alignment), 26 & 2 (26 poses and 2 breathing exercises in a standard sequence), Pranayama & Stretch (purposeful breathing to align your energy coupled with stretch) and Pranic Slow Flow (Slow Flow with Pranayama, Mantra and Mudra to intentionally channel your body's energy).

Restorative

Restorative Yoga includes poses where you are supported by props such as bolster and blocks to allow your body to surrender into gentle poses to recover and rejuvenate.

You don't have to be flexible or have any prior yoga experience to participate in these classes. This practice is accessible for all ages, abilities, and levels of fitness, and for anyone who desires more silence, stillness, and deep relaxation in their daily life.  Many of our restorative classes are combined with Slow Flow or Yoga Stretch to provide a well-rounded class experience.

Stretch

These classes involve stretching, sitting, and standing poses to aid the body in releasing stress-related patterns of tension that can lead to limited movement, and bring the body back towards its natural state of balance.  You don't have to be flexible or have any prior yoga experience to participate in these classes.

This practice is accessible for all ages, abilities, levels of fitness, and for anyone who desires more silence, stillness, and deep relaxation in their daily life.

Other Wellness Classes

We also offer Qigong, Meditation, Pilates and Barre classes to provide opportunities to explore a variety of ways to build strength and wellness into your daily routine.

Village Yoga is proud to be a Certified Sustainable Business at the Innovator/Silver level from the Sustainability Alliance.
